In order to support the
implementation of community service activities, BRSDMKP conducts Partnership
Action "Protect the Sea from Plastics". The event was held on 8 June
2017 at 17.00 local time by 38 UPT within BRSDM scope. This event coincides
with World Ocean Day which also falls on 8 June.
BRPPUPP participated in this
activity, forming a team that prepared all the necessary needs during the
action. Used plastic bottles are used in making artworks used in selfie and
wefie activities with the surrounding community.
To succeed in this activity,
BRPPUPP cooperates with Fisheries Extension and Alumni Association of Marine
Sciences UNSRI (IPKANI). This activity was also attended by Expert Staff of
Minister, Mr. Ir. Achmad Poernomo, M.App.Sc. and Head of Research Center for
Fisheries, Mr. Dr. Ir. Toni Ruchimat, M.Sc.
The action was held in Benteng
Kuto Besak (BKB). Selection of this place because BKB is one of the icondan
tourist attractions in the city of Palembang. Many people use BKB as a place of
recreation, making it easier to socialize activities "Protect the Sea from
Plastics".
In addition to selfie and
wefie activities with the surrounding community, there is also a division
takjil for people who have participated photographed artwork themed Save Our
Ocean. #DPA
